Android beta in development

Win friends.Quiet charisma.

dlytful is being built to help people who overthink social interactions remember what matters, know what to ask and receive a quiet nudge before the moment arrives.

Not a script. Not a social score. One real thing to ask.

One useful reminder

Dinner in 12 minutes

Maya

She started a new job on Monday.

AskHow was the first week?

Ask once. Stay with the answer.

15 minutes before matched events

You've got people you'd do anything for. You just never say the right thing when you're actually sat in front of them.

Someone tells you something that matters. A job interview. A parent in hospital. A thing they're worried about. You mean to follow up. Then next time you see them your head fills with you instead. What to say. Whether you're boring them. How long it's been. You always remember it too late.

dlytful gives you the one thing to ask, right before you walk in. So you show up thinking about them, not about yourself.

You care about people.

Your attention gets trapped on you.

dlytful is designed to redirect it at the moment it matters.

The problem

You think of the
right thing after
you leave.

You don't need more friends. You need to show up for the ones you have.

What do I even say?
Am I boring them?
Have I left it too long?
How did their interview go?

How the beta is planned to work

Remember. Connect. Get the nudge.

Designed to take less screen time than the interaction it prepares you for.

01

Capture what mattered

After a conversation, speak or type a private note: “Jen interviews Thursday. Ask that evening.”

02

Choose the context

Connect the reminder to a date, calendar event or saved place. You decide which people can appear where.

Leave the app

Before the moment arrives, get one detail, one natural question and one cue to pay attention.

AskHow did it go?

Quiet means controlled

A nudge is useful only when
you asked for it.

Controls are planned globally, per person and per place. Nothing is planned to surface automatically just because it is in your contacts.

When

Choose the briefing time, quiet hours and maximum frequency.

Where

Create saved places yourself. Movement history stays off unless you turn it on.

Who

Add people manually by default, then choose who can trigger a nudge.

What

Keep sensitive details out of lock screens and location nudges.

Permission by permission

Nothing is requested
before it has a job.

The beta is planned to use server transcription and structured extraction only after a deliberate note is uploaded. The flow will disclose processing first and let you edit extracted names, dates and meanings.

  • Required account with encrypted sync planned for the beta
  • EU-first processing is planned, subject to provider and region confirmation
  • Raw audio designed to delete after transcription by default
  • The beta is planned to use contracted processors that exclude private notes from general model training
  • Sensitive lock-screen text is planned to be hidden by default
  • Movement history is off by default and can be wiped anytime.

MicrophoneSpeak a noteWhen you tap Record

The beta is planned to ask only after you choose to record. Typed notes need no microphone access.

NotificationsDeliver a private nudgeAfter your first reminder

Planned to be requested when you create or enable a reminder, with sensitive lock-screen text hidden by default.

ContactsImport one selected personOnly from Add from contacts

Adding a person manually is planned to remain the default. Full contact access is not planned as a requirement.

CalendarMatch approved eventsWhen you enable briefings

Calendar access is planned as optional and requested only after you choose calendar briefings.

LocationChoose a saved placeWhen you create it

Foreground location is planned to help place a pin. You can also enter a place yourself.

Background locationTrigger one arrival nudgeAfter separate opt-in

Background access is planned to get its own explanation and be requested only when you enable arrival nudges.

Movement historyLearn better nudge timingOff by default. Opt in, wipe anytime.

Movement history is a separate optional choice. Saved places can still be created without turning it on.

Turn on movement history and dlytful gets better at timing. It stays off until you decide, and you can wipe it anytime.

Camera and gallery are not required for the first beta.

First Android cohort

Help make the quiet nudge worth trusting.

We plan to recruit approximately 30 Android testers for a 30-day early beta. You will use an in-development build and tell us when it helped, when it missed and when it felt intrusive.
